Birdie Hugs Card

Another day of Happy Stamping!  Okay, yesterday I asked you if Sailing Home was one of your favorite new stamp sets.  Well now, how about this one - Free as a Bird?  YES!  Free as a Bird is another of my favorite new sets!  They were the first two sets on my wish list.  I was inspired to make this card after seeing a card on Facebook, created by Laura Seki.  Thank you, Laura!  This card is SO EASY!  The Very Vanilla main card front is stamped in VersaMark Ink with the adorable birds and then heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.

TIP - After the birds are heat embossed they are then dry embossed with the Subtle 3D EF.  Be sure you have melted all the embossing powder.  If not, your embossing folder will be pretty messy!  The Subtle EF presses the embossed gold right down into the Very Vanilla cs. I really like the affect!

The leaves and flowers are stamped with VersaMark ink and also heat embossed in Gold.  They are then colored and Fussy Cut.

TIP - The vellum leaves and flowers are colored with markers - on the back side of the image!  Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere.  Liquid glue may cause your marker ink to bleed!

Just a Little More Tropical Chic

This stamp set Tropical Chic is such fun to play with!  I had to make a few more cards.  I hope you like them!  I think this next one is my favorite!

Tropical Chic - Green & Yellow Card Supplies
Stamps: Tropical Chic
Paper: Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Tropical Escape 6x6 DSP (retired)
Ink
: Mango Melody Classic
SU Accessories: Big Shot, Subtle 3D EF, Tropical Chic Dies, Layering Squares Dies, Adhesive Strips, Garden Green & White Baker's Twine (retired), Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

TIP - This next one is kind of unique in the way I used the Subtle EF.  The Whisper White card front is adhered to the Melon Mambo mat, then that whole unit is embossed with the Subtle EF.  It presses the white leaves into the Melon Mambo CS.  That mat is then attached to the folded Melon Mambo card front.

Tropical Chic - It's Your Day Card Supplies
Stamps: Tropical Chic, Itty Bitty Birthdays
Paper: Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce, Melon Mambo

Ink
: Memento Tuxedo Black Pad, Melon Mambo Classic, Mango Melody Classic, Coastal Cabana Classic
SU Accessories: Big Shot, Subtle 3D EF, Tropical Chic Dies, Stitched Shapes Dies, Black Baker's Twine (retired), Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

TIP - My last card uses up some scraps from my card club gathering.  We die cut the leaves from the Granny Apple Green CS.  These are the leftover pieces!  I love how the white makes it POP!

Leafy Fern Hello Card Supplies
Stamps: Tropical Chic, Good Morning Magnolia
Paper: Thick Whisper White, Granny Apple Green, Basic Black, Whisper White, Tropical Escape 6x6 DSP (retired)

Tropical Chic - You're the Greatest!

Hey there Stamping Friends!  Today's post is a replay of my very last post on my DBWS SU Blog.  It's my understanding that I would be loosing my Blog, Favorite Ideas Albums, and Newsletter capability around June 16th.  Needless to say - I have been a bit bummed because these were some of the main things I used on my Demonstrator Business Web Site.  But...  I'm happy to report I have this new Blog and I think it is going to be better than before.  Searches and Label entries will definitely help you when trying to locate a card or a project from a workshop.

This card is one we made in my June card clubs.  It is also the card I created for my entry as a guest designer for the June 3rd, What Will You Stamp Challenge - WWYS222 featuring the Tropical Chic stamp set.  I was honored to be that week's guest designer because the card I posted in their WWYS220 challenge featuring The All That You Are stamp set was selected as the winner.  If you'd like to see my WWYS220 entry (you can see it HERE) I don't think they had many entries so low & behold - I won the competition! How cool is that!  That's how I was able to be their June 3rd Challenge, guest designerI actually made two cards for their challenge - please let me know your favorite!

Topiary Thank You Card

I love the Vertical Greetings stamp set!  It adds such a nice different dimension to a card.  Yes, it is retired but I still felt I needed to share.  I was inspired to make this card after seeing this one made by Su Mohr.  Su makes amazing cards and I've case'd (copy and share everything) - her cards many times!  Thank you, Su!

TIP - We used the Stamparatus to perfectly stamp the Topiary image every time!  We inked the rubber stamp with our Stampin' Write Markers!

Everything is Rosy Thank You Card

Hello Stamping Friends!  I've been working hard the last few days making this blog.  I'm hopeful it will actually be easier and better than my demonstrator web site at Stampin' Up!  It will still take me a while to get the hang of it.  I'd love for you to Follow Me and click the Blue Follow button in the right margin!  Today's post is another from my last Make & Take event.  We used the beautiful Everything is Rosy Product Medley.  I hope you ordered one and have made some nice creations.  This one was pretty easy!

Everything is Rosy Thank You Card Supplies
StampsEverything is Rosy Product Medley (retired)

Misc (not SU) Items - Handle of a Paint Brush

TIP - Shake the Bottle of Glimmer Paint.  Remove the lid.  Dip the paintbrush handle in the lid paint.  Touch it to your card where ever you want shimmer dots!  Each time you touch down the dots get smaller in size.  Dip again and make more!  VERY FUN! And EASY!

There are so many great pieces in this kit.
