Birdie Hugs Card

Another day of Happy Stamping!  Okay, yesterday I asked you if Sailing Home was one of your favorite new stamp sets.  Well now, how about this one - Free as a Bird?  YES!  Free as a Bird is another of my favorite new sets!  They were the first two sets on my wish list.  I was inspired to make this card after seeing a card on Facebook, created by Laura Seki.  Thank you, Laura!  This card is SO EASY!  The Very Vanilla main card front is stamped in VersaMark Ink with the adorable birds and then heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.

TIP - After the birds are heat embossed they are then dry embossed with the Subtle 3D EF.  Be sure you have melted all the embossing powder.  If not, your embossing folder will be pretty messy!  The Subtle EF presses the embossed gold right down into the Very Vanilla cs. I really like the affect!

The leaves and flowers are stamped with VersaMark ink and also heat embossed in Gold.  They are then colored and Fussy Cut.

TIP - The vellum leaves and flowers are colored with markers - on the back side of the image!  Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere.  Liquid glue may cause your marker ink to bleed!
